We are the largest and longest running skydiving center in Nevada -- we've been in operation since 1993. We operate 7 days a week 365 days a year and even on holidays. We are the original, full-time Las Vegas skydiving center specializing in first-time tandem skydives.
We offer complimentary shuttle service from the Las Vegas strip normally twice a day at 8:00 am and 12:00 noon depending on the season. The pickup and drop-off location is the McDonald's parking lot directly across the Strip from the Mandalay Bay Hotel. We are only minutes away from the Hoover Dam and Lake Mead, so if you drive yourself here you can visit these historic landmarks and Boulder City.
We use only the newest and finest of everything. We operate a brand new 2009 PAC-750XL skydiving airplane that can carry up to 8 tandem jumpers (16 people) at a time. We jump 25 brand new 2009 Sigma tandem skydiving systems. We drive brand new 2009 Chevy Express passenger shuttle vans equipped with DVD video and GPS navigation systems. We have the largest and nicest skydiving facility in Nevada, complete with a large air-conditioned lobby, restrooms, HD television for viewing, snack and soda machines, and a brand new Starbucks Coffee dispenser. Next door to our hanger is a café offering breakfast, lunch and light snacks.
FACT: We are the only drop zone in the country with views of the Hoover Dam, Lake Mead, the Colorado River and the beautiful golf courses of Boulder City. You can also see the Las Vegas Strip, Mt. Charleston, Red Rock Canyon, the Valley of Fire and so much more. Unlike other Las Vegas area skydiving centers, our landing area is right next to our facility. Once you land your parachute you can walk right back into our facility and you're done. This also makes it ideal if you have friends and family coming out to watch you skydive. They can watch your entire experience all the way from gear-up to landing your parachute.
FACT: Skydive Las Vegas offers the highest skydive in Nevada. We take jumpers up to 15,000' MSL (mean sea level), which is the highest altitude, allowed without oxygen. Our field elevation at the Boulder City Airport is 2201' MSL which is the lowest drop zone altitude in Nevada. When we exit the aircraft at 15,000' MSL, we are actually jumping at 12,799' AGL (above ground level) which is higher than any skydiving center in Nevada. This gives the student approximately 50 - 60 seconds of freefall and is over 600' higher than any other skydive center in Nevada. Remember higher the jump the more free-fall you will experience and the more fun you will have.
