Skydive Las Vegas specializes in first-time jumpers. Through our decades of experience we have found that Tandem Jumping is the safest, easiest, fastest, cheapest and less stressful way to make your first jump. Since Skydive Las Vegas is only interested in your safety, we only offer Tandem Jumping for "first timers". We offer a complete Student Program for those who want to become a skydiver, but you'll always start by Tandem Jumping.

FREE GROUND TRAINING.
Only pay for your skydive after the training if you want to jump. Classes start everyday at 8:00 am, 10:00 am, 12:00 noon and 2:00 pm by appointment. Special class times are available upon request. Reservations are highly recommended; classes usually fill up early.

FIRST TANDEM SKYDIVE as low as $199ea
Complete, no games, no gimmicks, no tax. The first tandem includes pre-jump explanation, demonstrations, video training, practice, rehearsal, & the entire how's & why's of what will happen and what to expect. You will be here a total of about 2-3 hours to complete your first jump. All jumpers must be over 18 years old with photo I.D., in good physical and mental condition, 100% sober, under 240 lbs, & height / weight proportionate.

FREE ROUND TRIP SHUTTLE VAN
As of March 14th, 2005 the SLV shuttle picks up at 8:00am and 12:00 noon sharp from a central location on the Las Vegas Strip. Our Shuttle Van will return you to that central location on the Strip when all of the Jumpers in your Van are ready to go. It is the Customers responsibility to walk or take a Taxi to and from that central location. Our Shuttle Van is for First Time Jumpers. Observers can only accompany on a "space available" basis. SLV will strive to keep the turn-around time as brief as possible, while trying to stay on schedule, and trying to please all of our Customers. Usually Customers will be returned to the Strip within 3-4 hours.

TRANSPORTATION OPTIONS?
You can possibly save Time and have more options available in scheduling your jump by providing your own transportation here to the Boulder City Airport. If you don't have a car, we can help you get a rental car discount. When you drive yourself you have the freedom to tour Hoover Dam, raft the Colorado River, rent a JetSki at Lake Mead, or stop at the Chocolate Factory on the way home. All of these "tourist sites" are only 10 minutes away from our office by car, and extremely visible during Your skydive. Boulder City Airport is only 18 miles southeast of Las Vegas; a simple 25 minute Drive. We can FAX a simple map and directions right to your office, home, or hotel room or click here to go to the Map and Directions page. So, come out for a skydive and spend the day Touring the Area.

PERSONAL VIDEO & PHOTO OPTIONS

You direct the video footage. Tell your Tandem Master exactly how you want your video shot: lots of close-ups, lots of scenery, or a mix of both. Everything can be recorded from exit until landing. Your Tandem Master can document your complete jump experience with a High-Definition Digital Video camera with a huge wide-angle lens. The camera is strapped to the Tandem Master's wrist for simple control. That way the camera is with you during the complete jump. This new camera arrangement on the Tandem Master's wrist is reduced in price and more precise compared to the "old style" of hiring a separate skydiving cameraman to fall 20 feet in front of you. Since the camera is with you the whole jump, it can also record all of your audio comments also, so you have to watch your language when the door opens. Your video can be edited and dubbed with music, slow-motion, and computer graphics, or if you prefer the raw footage with all of your screams and laughter can remain intact. The VHS video can be dubbed into the PAL European system.

There is no need to decide now, let us know your desired exit altitude, and if you want video or photos after the free ground training. But if You desire to use our transportation option, the Round Trip SLV Shuttle Van MUST be reserved in advance for your benefit.

OUR CERTIFICATION
SLV is a Certified Group Member of The United States Parachute Association. USPA is your symbol of professionalism, and licensure. We are also members of the Parachute Industry Association, and the World Skydiving Association. We have a great relationship with our local FAA inspectors, who constantly monitor, oversee, and supervise all aspects of our operations.

OUR STAFF
All of our instructors and Jump Master are also individually licensed by USPA, and all have achieved the highest ratings awarded. We have collectively taught tens of thousands of students safely, and have over 100 years of collective skydiving experience. All of our Jump Master have many years of experience and over 1,000 jumps each. FAA Parachute Riggers maintain all of our equipment, and along with the pilots and mechanics, is fully licensed and certified by the FAA. And, we all voluntarily submit to drug testing as part of the FAA's Zero Tolerance Program.

OUR EQUIPMENT
We use only the most advanced "STATE OF THE ART" equipment available. Both the main and reserve parachutes are "square", known both for their reliability and soft landings. All of our equipment is rotated and tested each season, in an ongoing effort to provide you with greatest and best-maintained selection possible. Remember, our staff is jumping with you on this equipment. We are highly motivated to provide you with great equipment. On all of our equipment, we have installed a new mini-computer "automatic opener" called CYPRES. It is set to deploy the reserve parachute in the event of an emergency. We import them from Germany and are the only skydiving school in the U.S. to use a CYPRES on all of our jumps.

YOUR FIRST JUMP
Whether you only make one jump, or many, you'll always remember your first. We specialize in first timers; we jump with thousands every month. It's very special to the staff, to be able to share your first "RUSH" with you.

Since your Tandem Master is right next to you, this becomes a "LEARNING BY DOING" experience, not a theoretical classroom lecture. The training for your first jump will only take about 30 to 45 minutes, depending on how many questions you have, then we're ready to GO!

Some people just want a one-time adrenaline rush, and other want to learn how to become a skydiver. We'll take all the time needed to train you, and to answer all of your questions. Tandem jumping allows you to enjoy all of the thrill and excitement, without any of the stress and pressure. The Tandem Master will be your silent partner, letting you have full control; or you can just sit back and enjoy the ride. Since we're weightless in freefall, you won't even notice that the Tandem Master is right there with you.

BUSINESS DETAILS
We are available for tandem jumping 7 days a week. classes start everyday at 8:00 am, 10:00 am, 12:00 noon and 2:00 pm by appointment. Special class times are available upon request. Reservations will be guaranteed with a $50 deposit, and offered priority service over walk-ins. That way, the staff will be ready when you arrive. Payment is by Cash, MasterCard, Visa, Discover, JCB, Amex, or Travelers Checks. No personal or company checks can be accepted. Wear sneakers and dress appropriately for the weather. If you have any physical challenges or questions, please let us know in advance. Our legal limits are: Over 18 years old with Photo ID, in good health, 100% sober, under 240 lbs, height / weight proportionate.
